Ravens chasing 1 crucial thing vs. the Chiefs

Lamar wants one thing vs. the Chiefs.

The Baltimore Ravens will enter Week 4 knowing what a win would do for their season, and know how disastrous a loss could be.

With the defense in the firing line this week after again giving up 30+ points for the third straight week, offensively, there isn't much more Lamar Jackson and Co. can do.

They lead the league in points (averaging 37.0 per game), so things are rolling with Todd Monken's unit, one of the best in football, yet they are 1-2. Why?

That is quite the question, and as the Chiefs come into view, how close does Jackson feel the offense is to becoming the unit they want to be?

“I feel like we close, we just got to be consistent if anything,” Jackson said. “We put 30-some points up against the Lions, put 40 points up Buffalo, Cleveland. We just got to be consistent. That's the biggest thing for us right now.”

Ravens offense key to slaying Chiefs

Given how poorly the defense has played, we get the feeling that in this Week 4 encounter, it'll be up to Lamar and the offense to win this game. Granted, Kansas City's offense hasn't been at its best either, but defensively, Steve Spagnuolo's unit has been top shelf.

If the Ravens, as Jackson says, can be consistent (although how much more consistent can they get, leading the league in scoring), then it will be Baltimore that moves to 2-2, not the Chiefs.

Of course, there will be other factors that go into determining the winner, but if the Ravens play the way we know they can, and there aren't any more fumbles (yes, you, Mr. Henry), Baltimore could walk out of Arrowhead Stadium with their hand raised.
