Eli Manning hit the road to visit his nephew Arch’s current school, the University of Texas at Austin, for the latest episode of Eli’s Places. The finished product, “Texas Traditions: Hook ‘Em,” was released via Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions on ESPN+ on Wednesday.

In the episode, Colt McCoy, a Texas Longhorns football legend with one of the most successful quarterback careers in program history, shows Eli 40 Acres’ lay of the land.

Elo shared via the show’s media strategy and communications, Upland Workshop, his belief that the Longhorns have some of the best traditions in college football. He was also appreciative of McCoy being the school’s ambassador on his trip.

“I had a lot of fun down in Austin, where I tried my hand at becoming a Texas gentleman and learned about UT’s greatest traditions from Longhorns legend Colt McCoy. From taking a swing at Big Bertha to wrangling Bevo, the Texas traditions are definitely up there with the best in college football,” Manning said.

Eli Manning likely to watch Arch, Texas play Ole Miss in 2026

Eli’s Ole Miss Rebels will be visiting Texas during the 2026 season, as announced by the SEC on Tuesday. The Longhorns will have a return trip to Oxford, Mississippi, in 2028.

It’s highly possible Eli will be watching his nephew face off against his alma mater next year. Arch’s NFL draft stock has diminished after a disappointing first month as Texas’s unquestioned starting quarterback. He may be a 2027 NFL draft prospect, barring a turnaround during conference play over the next two months.

It’s also possible that both Eli and Arch will be catching the 2028 game at Ole Miss together.

In that case, Eli also owes McCoy a tour of The Grove.
