Is Zach Charbonnet playing tonight? Seahawks RB injury update raises key fantasy decision originally appeared on The Sporting News

As Week 4 gets underway with Thursday Night Football, the Seattle Seahawks' injury report provides some uncertainty.

Running back Zach Charbonnet is a question mark for the matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

Charbonnet missed Week 3, and his availability impacts not just himself but also Kenneth Walker, the other piece of this two-headed backfield.

Here's what we know as of Thursday morning:

Is Zach Charbonnet playing tonight?

Zach Charbonnet is a true question mark for Thursday Night Football.

On the Seahawks' official injury report, Charbonnet is listed as questionable with a foot injury.

The news is good relative to last week, though.

Charbonnet didn't practice at all leading into Week 3.

But he has been listed as a full participant in practice each day of this week's injury report.

That would point toward him returning to the field after a one-game absence. Inactives will be officially released about 6:45 p.m. ET (3:45 p.m. PT).

Zach Charbonnet vs. Kenneth Walker: Who should I start?

Walker feels like the slightly safer start. He played better in Week 2 and had the whole workload to himself in Week 3.

And even if Charbonnet is active, there is always possible concern about a recurrence of the injury.

The RBs split the actual snaps and touches about 50-50 in the first two weeks, so both have their upsides limited if both are available.

If Charbonnet is out, Walker is a definite start. If not, he's still not a bad play, figuring he'll get between 12-15 touches.

Charbonnet is a tougher play unless you're in a deeper league or dealing with other injuries that have reduced your depth. Hold onto him for sure, because he can contribute more down the road, but coming off the injury, maybe play it safe.
