George Holani made sure everyone knew his name in Week 2, when he sprinted to fall on the odd kickoff to the Pittsburgh Steelers that resulted in a touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks.
It's not new for Holani, who has always had to work hard to prove himself.
And in his second year in the NFL, he's already finding different ways to make his marks.
Even in Seattle, he's not yet a household name, but he's got a cool story that's worth knowing.

Who is George Holani?
George Holani is a 25-year old running back and special teams player for the Seahawks.
He's originally from Bellflower, California, where he played at St. John Bosco High School.
Holani was a three-star recruit who enrolled at Boise State for the 2019 season.
How many siblings does George Holani have?
George Holani has 10 siblings. He is one of 11 childrens.
His parents are both of Tongan heritage.
A story in The Athletic in 2019 shared how Holani often had to look after his younger siblings, which prepared him for an early workload at Boise State.

Holani ran for 1,014 yards as a freshman, then had the COVID-shortened season and injuries in 2021.
In 2022, he was back, carrying for 1,157 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In 2023, though, Holani had to play second fiddle, a bad break in his last college season. Ashton Jeanty got 220 carries for 1,347 yards. Holani had 134 carries for 748 yards.
Holani went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft and signed with the Seahawks.

As a rookie, Holani played in five games for the Seahawks. He got three carries and one catch. He made one special teams tackle.
Holani's role has grown in 2025.
In the first two weeks, he saw all his snaps (15 then 18) on special teams.
In Week 3, with Zach Charbonnet out, Holani played 20 offensive snaps and carried 10 times for 27 yards with two catches for 15 yards.
Holani has proven the Seahawks can use him in a variety of ways.
