Browns vs Lions: 1 new injury, both teams injury reports see improvement

Browns and Lions both saw improvements to their injury reports including DT Mike Hall but Detroit added another defender

The Cleveland Browns may not have a lot of success (an understatement) playing the Detroit Lions on the road but the team’s defense deserves a little more respect than the Lions offensive coordinator showed on Thursday. The Browns learned a lot about themselves in their Week 3 victory over the Green Bay Packers and could see that carry over, on the road, against Detroit.

Cleveland’s rookie class has been playing at an elite level, but injuries continue to be a concern for the offensive line and a few other places. Thursday’s injury report, however, saw some improvements for the visitors to Michigan this week (changes are in bold below):

  • DT Mike Hall Jr. – Knee – DNP to Limited
  • CB Denzel Ward – Shoulder – DNP to Limited
  • DT Shelby Harris – Hamstring – DNP to Limited
  • OL Joel Bitonio – Back, Rest – Limited to Full
  • OL Jack Conklin – Elbow – Limited
  • S Grant Delpit – Back – Limited
  • DE Myles Garrett – Rest – Limited to Full
  • TE David Njoku – Knee – Limited to Full
  • WR Cedric Tillman – Hand, Hip – Limited

The Lions also saw an improvement, but also added another defender to their injury list:

  • OT Tayler Decker – Shoulder – DNP
  • DE Al-Quadin Muhammad – Knee –DNP to Limited
  • S Daniel Thomas – Forearm – DNP
  • RB Sione Vaki – Groin – DNP
  • LB Derrick Barnes – Knee – Limited
  • LB Zach Cunningham – Hamstring – Added as Limited
  • CB DJ Reed – Cramping – Full

Cunningham’s injury coming on Thursday makes his Friday status one to watch along with the three other DNPs.

We will have the final injury reports for both teams on Friday afternoon, which will include their game-day designations.
