Barcelona fans send Robert Lewandowski message to Hansi Flick during Real Oviedo clash

Supporters of La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday evening sent a collective message to manager Hansi Flick, regarding veteran frontman Robert Lewandowski.

This comes after the Pole provided any who may have forgotten with a reminder of his still-elite goalscoring abilities.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front.

With sights on a 4th victory in succession since the international break, the Blaugrana have made the trip to the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, for a La Liga clash with Real Oviedo.

And as things stand, this is precisely what Hansi Flick’s troops are headed towards.

The decisive figure in as much? Robert Lewandowski.

Striker Lewandowski was for his part forced to watch on from the bench from the off this evening, as Ferran Torres was given the nod as Barca’s attacking spearhead.

Midway through the 2nd-half, with the clash locked at a goal apiece, though, the 37-year-old was introduced to proceedings for Raphinha.

And within minutes, Lewandowski had put the Spanish champions in front.

Latching onto a pinpoint delivery on the part of Frenkie de Dong, the former Bayern Munich man directed a brilliant header home off the underside of the crossbar.

And such exploits, as alluded to above, have since given rise to a clear cut message on the part of the Barcelona faithful.

With Ferran Torres having been favoured to Lewandowski since the latter’s recovery from injury over the early weeks of the new season, calls have begun to mount for ‘Lewa’ to be restored to first-choice status:

I don't know what Hansi flick is experimenting, but as long as we haven't got a good striker yet, always start Lewandowski till further notice.

His presence and movement alone is a threat to defenders
