Eagles Injury Report: Good news for the bald Eagles

Thursday’s news and updates.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their second official injury report in advance of their Week 4 road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Eagles listed four players under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Zack Baun, Jihaad Campbell, Adoree’ Jackson, and Tanner McKee.

Baun and Campbell were upgraded to limited after not practicing on Wednesday. We’ve yet to hear they’re definitely playing but they’re trending in the right direction. Baun was not wearing a brace on his leg like he was on Wednesday; just a compression sleeve instead.

Jackson was also upgraded to limited after not practicing on Wednesday. Seems like the veteran cornerback might start once again. If he’s unable to play or make it through the game, it could be Kelee Ringo who takes over at CB2.

McKee is apparently still less than 100%. If he’s not ready to be QB2, Sam Howell will maintain that role behind Jalen Hurts. McKee will then serve as the emergency third quarterback for the third straight game.

The Eagles listed two players under FULL PARTICIPATION: Lane Johnson and Will Shipley.

Johnson was upgraded from limited to full participation. The Eagles’ starting right tackle will be ready to play against the Bucs, as expected. Very good news for the team.

Shipley is on track to return to game action after getting banged up in Week 1.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)

The Bucs notably downgraded Chris Godwin Jr. from full participation on Wednesday to DNP on Thursday. Part of the rehab plan or a setback? If it’s the latter, the Bucs are already thin at wide receiver … so that wouldn’t be good for them.

In good news for Tampa, starting left tackle Tristan Wirfs was upgraded from limited to full go.

Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield is expected to play but he hasn’t been able to fully practice this week. We’ll see if he’s hampered at all on Sunday.

DID NOT PARTICIPATE

WR Mike Evans (hamstring)
WR Chris Godwin Jr. (ankle)
DT Logan Hall (groin)
DB Christian Izien (quad)

LIMITED PARTICIPATION
