Mike Santana will wrestle an NXT hooligan, Joe Hendry has a grudge to settle, and more is announced for Victory Road.
TNA heads into Victory Road on Friday, September 26 from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Impact offered a few late additions to the card. Mike Santana will wrestle an NXT hooligan, Joe Hendry has a grudge to settle with Eric Young, and more.
Holland ambushed Santana last week. Now, the motives are clear. Holland worked a deal with Trick Williams for a shot at the TNA World Championship if he can take out Santana.
Last week, Hendry embarrassed Young by costing him a loss to Judas Icarus. Hendry relied on the trusty entrance distraction. Nobody said his name, but he appeared anyway.
Young confronted Santino Marella in the parking lot to book the match for Victory Road.
Hendry explained how Young mentored him to put the pieces together for greatness. As Hendry became successful, Young grew bitter with conspiracy theories. Hendry accused Young of turning his back on the values he used to preach.
The System and Order 4 will clash in Hardcore War at Bound For Glory. But first, a pit stop at Victory Road. Moose wrestles Mustafa Ali in singles action. Moose challenged Ali to man-up and compete without backup one-on-one. Ali had a counteroffer. He will agree to those terms as long as the winner is granted the team advantage in Hardcore War.
The updated lineup for TNA Victory Road includes:
- X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Myron Reed
- TNA International Championship: Steve Maclin (c) vs. Frankie Kazarian
- Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young
- Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Heather & M by Elegance (c) vs. Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee
- Mike Santana vs. Ridge Holland
- Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth vs. Matt Cardona & The Home Town Man
- Moose vs. Mustafa Ali (winner gets advantage in Hardcore War at Bound For Glory)
- First Class Penthouse talk show with AJ Francis and guest Matt Hardy (pre-show)
- Cedric Alexander vs. Trey Miguel vs. Zachary Wentz (pre-show)
The elephant in the room is the removal of Ash by Elegance defending the Knockouts Championship against Masha Slamovich. TNA is investigating Slamovich about allegations of domestic abuse. There is no official word yet on cancelling the match, however, commentary did not mention that contest during the rundown of the card on Impact.
Victory Road starts at 9 pm ET. The live stream will be available through the TNA+ subscription and TrillerTV.
