We’re only one-third of the way through college football’s 2025 regular season. It seems like the season has already sped by us. While on the other hand, there’s still a ton of football ahead for the Texas Longhorns this year.
Still, we can’t help but wonder given some of the team’s struggles so far this season, will Texas earn its way to a third straight College Football Playoff appearance? It’s a question posed by our friends at Saturday Down South.
The three reasons SDS gives:
- Texas’ defense is good, and they’re only going to get better at the squad’s current pace.
- Texas’ schedule favors the football program, in that the team won’t have to face college football’s top programs solely in the CFP. Rather, Texas is playing them, for better or worse (like the Ohio State game.)
- Head coach Steve Sarkisian is no less an offensive mastermind than he ever was.
