Black Stars: Denis Odoi close to a new move to Kortrijk

The Ghanaian defender is training with the Belgian club.

Denis Odoi could soon be on the rise again at Kortrijk. Free since parting ways with Antwerp, the Ghanaian defender has been training with the Belgian club for over a week now.

The experienced Black Stars defender is currently working with KV Kortrijk. After terminating his contract with Antwerp, mainly due to the distance between his home and the club, Denis Odoi is in talks to join the Flemish side. Sporting director Nils Vanneste remains cautious but does not rule out the possibility of a signing in the near future.

"That's right, and it’s certainly not impossible that he’ll sign, but for now, we’re letting the situation settle down. He reached out to me. For the moment, it’s simply to maintain his fitness, but things could change. Denis is really fitting in well. He’s coaching the other players, and it’s great to see," said head coach Michiel Jonckheere.
