New York Jets at Miami Dolphins: 3 key matchups to watch in Week 4

Here are 3 matchups to watch in Week 4 between the Jets and Dolphins.

The New York Jets will visit the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium in Week 4.

For this AFC East battle between Aaron Glenn's Jets (0-3) and Mike McDaniel's Dolphins (0-3), it will be the games, within the game, that will make all the difference.

Here are Jets Wire's three key matchups to watch during Monday's Jets vs. Dolphins contest:

WR Garrett Wilson vs. CB Rasul Douglas

The Dolphins' secondary is a mess. Douglas is a veteran and will likely be tasked with Wilson plenty... so if the Jets' No. 1 wideout in Wilson beats him? It will be a long day for Miami's defense.

RB Breece Hall vs. LB Tyrel Dodson

ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 18: Josh Allen #17 of the Buffalo Bills is tackled by Tyrel Dodson #25 of the Miami Dolphins after sliding in the second half of the game at Highmark Stadium on September 18, 2025 in Orchard Park, New York. (Photo by Bryan M. Bennett/Getty Images)

Dodson will spearhead the Dolphins' defense in the middle of the field. It won't be all on him, but stopping the run-heavy Jets led by rusher Breece Hall will involve him a lot.

Hall should be chomping at the bit for a bounce-back week after a poor day last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

CB Sauce Gardner vs. WR Tyreek Hill

Hill is the Dolphins' top playmaker and will see snaps out of the slot where Michael Carter II will cover him. When Hill is on the outside, where he is more often according to Pro Football Focus, Gardner has to shut him down.

Hill has 15 catches, 198 yards and a touchdown in three games played in 2025.
