Giants' Malik Nabers could accomplish rare but undesirable feat with Jaxson Dart

If he can catch a touchdown pass from quarterback Jaxson Dart in the next two games, New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers will do something nobody has done since at least 1991.

The New York Giants have seen a stunning amount of turnover at the quarterback position in the short time wide receiver Malik Nabers has been in the NFL.

The Giants decided to bench Russell Wilson in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart this week, and Dart will become the sixth quarterback Nabers has played with in 19 games.

And, Nabers now has a chance to accomplish a rare feat, although it is one he'd likely rather avoid if possible.

According to the Associated Press' Josh Dubow, if Nabers catches a touchdown pass from Dart in the next two games, he'll be the first player since at least 1991 to record a touchdown catch from five different quarterbacks within his first 20 career games.

The star-studded cast of quarterbacks (that's sarcasm, by the way) that Nabers has caught a touchdown pass from over his brief career includes Daniel Jones, Russell Wilson, Drew Lock and Tim Boyle.

But before Nabers can accomplish the aforementioned feat, he's got to get cleared to play.

Nabers popped up on the injury report this week with a shoulder issue and didn't take part in practice on Wednesday. He did make progress on Thursday with a limited session, so he seems like he's on track to play.

It goes without saying how especially important Nabers is to the Giants' offense this week, as his presence on the field is crucial for Dart, who already has a tall order in facing an elite Los Angeles Chargers defense in his NFL debut.
