Merthyr Town's FA Cup adventure is over after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Hampton & Richmond Borough in the third qualifying round.

National League North side Merthyr were awarded a penalty early in the second half when Brandon Smalley was fouled in the penalty area.

But Ricardo Rees struck his penalty straight at Hampton keeper James Holden.

Craig Fasanmade scored the winner for National League South side Hampton to seal their place in Monday's fourth qualifying round draw.
