Although Dutch coach Arne Slot's men were hoping for a hard-fought victory after a late equaliser against Crystal Palace in London, they were in for a huge surprise when a man emerged from the ashes and dashed those dreams.
After Federico Chiesa had equalised for the Reds in the dying minutes, Eddie Nketiah came on and scored, a goal that was heartbreaking for Liverpool fans and joyful for the south London crowd, whose voices could be heard in the north London crowd as Oliver Glasner leapt up the touchline.
The goal scored by Crystal Palace in the last minutes had a huge impact, with a record being added to the club's records. This goal became Crystal Palace's latest winning strike in the Premier League since the 2006/2007 according to Opta.
