We break down the fantasy football outlook of Rashod Bateman ahead of the Ravens’ Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs.
Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with a battle of AFC powers already in desperation mode as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Ravens once again dropped a big primetime matchup last Monday, falling to the Lions in a 38-30 home loss to slide to 1-2 on the year. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman stepped up in the showdown and at least did his part to help Baltimore keep pace with Detroit.
Below, we’ll go over Bateman’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.
Fantasy Football analysis: Ravens WR Rashod Bateman
Bateman caught five of seven targets for 65 yards and a touchdown that tied the game right before halftime on Monday. It marked an uptick in production for the fifth-year veteran after a quiet first two weeks of the season where he combined for just four catches for 24 yards. The wideout has seemingly regressed back to the mean after his breakout 2024 campaign where he had 756 receiving yards and nine touchdown. We’ll see if his performance on Monday was an outlier or a portender of things to come.
Start or sit in Week 4 PPR leagues?
Sit. I wouldn’t expect much from Bateman on the fantasy front in this showdown. The Kansas City defense ranks in the top half of the league in defensive passing EPA and is holding WR3’s of opposing teams to just 41.8 yards per game. For those curious about Bateman’s Flex potential, you’re probably a week too late. Keep him on the bench.
