Blake Corum start or sit: Week 4 fantasy football advice

We break down the fantasy football outlook of Blake Corum ahead of Week 4

The Las Angeles Rams have played well this season, but did fall to an Eagles comeback last week. But, their offense continues to play well with Matthew Stafford at the helm. Their lead back continues to be Kyren Williams, who has played 76.8% of the snaps to Blake Corum’s 20.4%. So, it makes some sense that Corum has been more efficient on a smaller sample size, but he’s been quite a bit better by all metrics. His expected points added sits at 7.31 to Williams’ -3.92. Of the qualifying backs, David Montgomery and James Cook lead the way in EPA at just over 5. Corum’s EPA would come down with more work, but Williams is in the lower half for starting backs per EPA and DVOA this season.

Of course, the analytics don’t matter if Corum isn’t going to see more chances and so far we see no move to give him more chances. He did see eight attempts for 53 yards last week against a good Eagles defense and the week before he got a goal line carry for a touchdown in an easy win over the Titans. And this week he faces a Colts run defense that has been poor this season, but has only seen the second-fewest rush attempts against them due to the Colts getting out to early leads more often than not.

Below, we’ll go over Blake Corum’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams, RB, Blake Corum

If we knew Corum was going to even see 10-15 looks this week, I’d probably give him a flex start in most leagues, but he hasn’t hit that number yet and he doesn’t see enough work as a receiver to help prop him up in PPR leagues. But, he is someone I would very much want on my fantasy bench right now.
