Lions injury update: Both starting cornerbacks leave early vs. Browns

The Detroit Lions lost both of their starting cornerbacks in their Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns.

First, second-year corner Terrion Arnold suffered a shoulder injury while tackling Browns running back Quinshon Judkins. Arnold had to be escorted off the field by trainers. He initially went into the blue medical tent, but eventually went into the locker room. The Lions officially declared him as questionable to return, but by the fourth quarter he still hadn’t returned to the game.

A few possessions later, cornerback D.J. Reed suffered a hamstring injury while covering a deep shot to Browns receiver Jerry Jeudy. Before the ball arrived, Reed grabbed the back of his leg and collapsed to the turf. The injury appeared to be much more severe, as Reed had to be helped onto the cart and was wheeled off the field. He was officially ruled as questionable to return with a hamstring injury.

That left the Lions with Amik Robertson and Khalil Dorsey as their two outside cornerbacks.
