The pedal has been pushed to the metal, and I don’t know if the Atlanta Falcons are going to take their foot off anytime soon. After a rough interception, Michael Penix, Jr. continues to show off his ability to bounce back as this offense continues to attack the Washington Commanders with a deadly, balanced diet of chunk pass plays and a bludgeoning run game. So, it’s fitting that this 7-play, 72-yard drive ends with Tyler Allgeier taking a man’s soul on the end way to his second touchdown of the 2025 season.
The Falcons haven’t had two 100-yard receivers since last year’s overtime thriller against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that solidified Kirktober. Bijan Robinson and Drake London have both eclipsed the 100-yard mark; the duo of Robinson and Allgeier is six yards away from hitting 100 yards on the day.
This Falcons offense has been humming, and they have a chance to finish this game off in the fourth quarter.
