Both Lane Johnson and Tyler Steen suffered injuries in Tampa.
The Eagles offense was able to move the ball in multiple ways in the first half against the Buccaneers in Week 4, but near halftime, right guard Tyler Steen limped off the field and was evaluated in the medical tent before heading to the locker room. Matt Pryor stepped in at RG, but Steen was able to return to the field after halftime — albeit, wearing a wrap on his leg and still notably limping.
Things didn’t get a lot better in the second half, though, when the Eagles offensive line lost Lane Johnson to a shoulder injury following the team’s fake tush push — which resulted in a Saquon Barkley touchdown. Fred Johnson stepped in, and Lane was listed as questionable to return due to a shoulder injury.
Lane was able to work his way back after suffering a neck stinger last week against the Rams. When he left the Week 3 game, Pryor tried to take over at tackle, but the offense wasn’t able to function until Fred stepped into that role.
Hopefully neither Steen, nor Lane, will have to miss much time, or deal with any kind of lingering issue. It is still just the fourth game of the season, and the offensive line as a whole has already dealt with a handful of concerning injuries.
