The IHSAA girls soccer sectional brackets for the Lafayette area have been released. Who is your favorite team playing?
LAFAYETTE ― Faith Christian and Harrison are among the top two teams from the Lafayette area showcased during the IHSAA girls soccer sectional pairings Sunday, Sept. 28.
Faith Christian carries a direct path through the IHSAA 1A sectional in Sheridan, while Harrison will need to get through Kokomo and then play McCutcheon, the team it's eliminated in two consecutive seasons.
Here's a look at the full IHSAA girls soccer sectional draw and the path through the playoffs which start Oct. 7. Sectionals then continue Oct. 9 and 11.
3A McCutcheon sectional
- Kokomo (3-9) vs. Harrison (9-4-1). Winner plays McCutcheon (7-7).
- Lafayette Jeff (5-7-3) vs. Logansport (0-12-2).
- Championship.
2A Lebanon sectional
- Crawfordsville (9-3-1) vs. Western Boone (4-8).
- North Montgomery (9-4-1) vs. Lebanon (9-3-2).
- West Lafayette (8-5) vs. Frankfort (3-12).
- West Lafayette/Frankfort winner vs. North Montgomery/Lebanon winner
- Crawfordsville/Western Boone winner vs. Tri-West Hendricks (8-4-1)
- Championship
2A Hanover Central sectional:
- Hanover Central (9-3-1) vs. Benton Central (7-8)
- Lowell (6-7-1) vs. Illiana Christian (10-1-2)
- Lowell/Illiana Christian winner vs. Hanover Central/Benton Central winner.
- Twin Lakes (6-9) vs. Kankakee Valley (8-5-1)

1A Sheridan sectional:
- Central Catholic (7-7-1) vs. North White (0-11)
- Alexandria Monroe (2-10) vs. Sheridan (7-3-1)
- Central Catholic/North White winner vs. Alexandria Monroe/Sheridan winner.
