According to Match360, the RC Strasbourg defender is thrilled at the prospect of wearing the Senegal jersey and has decided to switch his sporting nationality in favor of his country of origin.National team coach Pape Thiaw is expected to call him up for the next training camp, ahead of two crucial matches against South Sudan and Mauritania in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.Although Sarr has previously represented France at various youth levels, he is now embarking on a new journey with the Senegalese project.It is worth recalling that Chelsea signed Mamadou Sarr to a long-term contract running until 2033, with the deal reportedly worth around €15 million.However, the London club has decided to loan him back to his former club, Strasbourg, for another season to give him more playing time and help him develop further in familiar surroundings.
