They are now the hunted
Listen, there are too many gambling sites throughout the sports landscape. It’s pretty rough when everywhere one turns to find information about one of the sports they are trying to partake, there are several ads there to greet them. Sports spent years trying to keep an arm’s length from the business, hoping that it wouldn’t influence the outcomes of their games, then decided that the cash they could rake in by getting into bed with them was worth more than trying make sure players are on the up and up.
Yet a few of the sites that promote gambling have placed the Phillies as not only the favorites to come out of the National League unscathed, but also as the favorites to be the ones meeting Rob Manfred on that podium in late October. The question for today is: how does this make you feel about the team? Being the hunted is something that almost any team will relish as it means they are the ones opposing teams feel is the best. As a person that follows the team closely, it’s a strangely odd feeling that people believe the Phillies have the best chance.
