Is Justin Fields playing tonight? Jets QB gets injury update after concussion

Big day for the Jets to try and get on track.

The New York Jets are entering Monday night lined up with a bit of a quirky matchup.

They will take on the Miami Dolphins in the first of two Monday Night Football games that start within an hour of one another, which is weird enough.

But it's even trickier than that: Both teams are 0-3.

Something's gotta give. Or, well, they can tie like the Cowboys and Packers did on Sunday night.

Most likely, though, there'll be a winner. And the Jets hope it's them, if Justin Fields has anything to say about it.

Is Justin Fields playing tonight?

Yes, Justin Fields is set to play on Monday Night Football for the Jets against the Dolphins.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn made it simple at the end of the practice week, saying, "Justin is playing."

Fields was concussed late in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills, and he missed Week 3 as Tyrod Taylor filled in for him.

The new Jets QB for this season was great in Week 1 in a tough-luck loss to the Steelers, but then Fields and the entire Jets offense struggled mightily against Buffalo in their second game together.

The Dolphins' defense is not strong, so Fields will have a good shot at getting back on track in his return to game action on Monday night.
