It’s Monday, and we are back at it! Fresh off a weekend of football games, there was a lot of action! News will continue to come your way, and we are here for it all. Check out our original coverage and what we can find from the World Wide Web below.

Rainbow Warriors best Falcons in a shootout.

If you like lots of offense, this game was for you. Hawaii jumped out to an early lead, but Air Force battled back, and it got very exciting at the end, with a combined 41 points scored in the fourth quarter. Both QBs had three touchdown passes, with Alejado going for 457 yards. Defense continues to be optional for these teams.

Lobos win the rivalry game.

New Mexico was actually down by three at halftime, but used a second-half surge to put this one out of reach and secure the Rio Grande Rivalry. Quarterback Jack Layne had an incredible game, with 4 passing TDs to go along with 303 yards. The offense converted 50% of their third downs and used their passing game to win this one.

The Aztecs outkick the Huskies.

If you like defense and field goals, this game was for you. Neither team showed that many signs of life on offense for the game, but San Diego State was able to win this one in one in a low-scoring affair, partly due to only coverting 5 of 15 third-downs. They got their field goals in the second and fourth quarters and improve to 3-1 on the season.

Broncos win big at home.

Boise State perhaps didn’t play as well as the score, but it served as a strong tune-up game before Notre Dame next week. They didn’t run the ball well overall, but found the endzone four times through the air. The defense had issues with penalties, but got to the quarterback and produced two interceptions that went for touchdowns, plus another two turnovers. Special teams had some coverage miscues, but made two field goals. In many ways, it was the best of both worlds for a coaching staff; a big win with enough areas to improve upon.

Spartans fall to Cardinals late.

San Jose State was hoping to make it two wins in a row this weekend and had a great opportunity to do so, going up against Stanford. They jumped out to a 20-14 halftime lead, but couldn’t withstand the comeback from the Cardinals. Walker Eget had one of his best games of the season, with 473 passing yards and three touchdown passes. But Stanford scored on a touchdown run with 19 seconds left to take their first lead of the game, sealing the loss for the Spartans.
