The Houston Texans finally got their first win of the 2025 season over the floundering Tennessee Titans in a 26-0 shutout. The Texans' offensive line has been one of the worst in the NFL thus far, as C.J. Stroud has been sacked 10 times through four games. This led to the Texans making another trade involving an offensive lineman.
Houston is trading offensive tackle Cam Robinson to the Cleveland Browns, per Jordan Schultz.
"The Texans are trading veteran OT Cam Robinson to the Browns," Schultz reports on X. "Houston signed Robinson to a 1-year deal worth up to $14.5M. Reliable veteran with 101 career starts."
Schultz follows up by saying Robinson wanted to play left tackle, but never got the chance in Houston.
"Cam Robinson wants to play LT and he never really got a serious chance at doing that with the Texans, especially with the organization preferring to go young at the position," Schultz reports. "The Browns had a glaring need at LT and they make the trade for the respected veteran."
What this means for the Texans is that the load is completely on rookie Aireontae Ersery, Tytus Howard, and Blake Fisher. They had a surplus of tackles, and feel comfortable moving on from Robinson, who is now on his third team in the last calendar year.
