Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich: Live stream, game time thread, how to watch (DFB-Pokal Frauen)

Last time out Bayern Munich turned in a resounding 4-0 win over SC Freiburg — a reminder of the defending champions’ quality and resolve. Now, though, we turn from the Frauen-Bundesliga to the DFB-Pokal.

Bayern travel to Dortmund today, and though the women’s version of Der Klassiker is nowhere near as intense — BVB only founded their women’s team in 2020 and are playing in the Frauen-Regionalliga — you can never count anything out in a cup game.

Prediction: Last time we predicted an overwhelming victory over an opponent that was inferior on paper…it ended up a 0-0 draw.

With that in mind…we’re going to go a little conservative this time. The ladies will be well aware that a league match follows on Saturday and then a Champions League date with FC Barcelona. So they’ll ease their way to a 3-1 win, not allowing much danger the other way, but staying in second gear for most of the match. A rare mistake at the back will keep things tense for just a little while.
