What do you do the Monday morning after winning the Rugby World Cup?

Go see Lady Gaga in concert and get a tattoo of England's winning captain Zoe Aldcroft of course!

But a bruised and battered Meg Jones also found time to chat to the Scrum V podcast, sharing her elation - with what little voice she had left - of beating Canada 33-13 in Saturday's grand final.

"My eyes are welling up just thinking about it," said the 28-year-old from Cardiff.

"[After] such a terrible year to come out with a World Cup winning trophy just epitomised everything for me, why I do this game.

"Celia [Jones' partner] was the first person I saw when I came off the pitch, she's been through this journey [of losing both parents last year] with me, she's been my rock.

"It was just really special and something I'll remember for years."

Jones was born and brought up in Wales before her playing career took her across the border.

And despite wearing the Red Rose of England, she says there was - and will always be - a part of her that is flying the Welsh flag.

She and Ammanford-born England team mate Lucy Packer shared a special moment at Twickenham after the final whistle.

"We're so proud of being Welsh, our heritage and everything that comes with that," said Jones.

"I grabbed her at the end and said 'imagine two little mushes like us getting to a World Cup final.'

"That's just who we are.

"It gives us that little bit of fire power as well. Have you never not met a proud Welsh person? We feel the same and we're happy to fly the flag for them as well."
