Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League is here, and fantasy managers will need to keep a close eye on team news.

Injuries and fitness doubts could play a decisive role in early lineups, with several big names already ruled out. Here’s a full breakdown of the absentees and question marks heading into Tuesday and Wednesday’s games.

Tuesday, September 30

Atalanta vs Club Brugge

Atalanta come into MD1 with a long injury list. Giorgio Scalvini, Sead Kolašinac, Gianluca Scamacca, Charles De Ketelaere, and Nicola Zalewski are all sidelined.

On top of that, Isak Hien and Éderson remain doubts, leaving fantasy managers with fewer secure picks from Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.

Club Brugge have fewer concerns, though both Simon Mignolet and Raphael Onyedika miss out. No fresh doubts have been reported.

Kairat Almaty vs Real Madrid

Kairat will be without Bakhtiyar Anarbekov after a jaw fracture, while Zarutskiy, Glazer, and Zaria are all fitness concerns.

Real Madrid are also light in defense, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dani Carvajal (suspension), Éder Militão, and Antonio Rüdiger unavailable. Despite those absences, Los Blancos should still be heavily backed in fantasy given their attacking strength.

Inter vs Slavia Praha

Inter don’t have many issues, though Matteo Darmian’s back problem makes him a doubt. Slavia, on the other hand, are missing Tomáš Holeš and Igoh Ogbu, while captain Jan Bořil and Oscar Dorley are fitness questions.

Chelsea vs Benfica

Chelsea’s injury list continues to grow. Cole Palmer, Tosin Adarabioyo, Wesley Fofana, Liam Delap, and Levi Colwill are all out, while Moisés Caicedo, Andrey Santos, and João Pedro face late fitness tests.

Benfica also have a few notable absentees — Bruma, Alexander Bah, and David Jurásek Manu all miss out.

Atlético Madrid vs Frankfurt

Atlético are missing Thiago Almada, David Cardoso, and José Giménez, weakening Diego Simeone’s rotation options. Frankfurt have fewer problems but will be without Rasmus Kristensen.

Bodø/Glimt vs Tottenham

Bodø/Glimt are sweating on several names. Bassi, Brynhildsen, Gundersen, Moe, and captain Ulrik Saltnes are all doubtful, which could heavily impact their setup.

For Spurs, Cristian Romero is set to miss out on the tie with Bodo/Glimt, while Ben Davies, Randal Kolo Muani, and Dominic Solanke are all doubts for the trip to Norway.

Marseille vs Ajax

Marseille lose Kondogbia and Traoré, while Leonardo Balerdi is a late doubt. Ajax will travel without Van den Boomen, Dolberg, and McConnell. Baas is also a fitness question.

Galatasaray vs Liverpool

Both sides come into this tie with clean bills of health — no injuries or doubts reported.

Pafos vs Bayern Munich

Pafos will be without Bruno due to suspension, with João Correia a doubt. Bayern have more issues, missing Alphonso Davies, Ito, Musiala, Stanišić, and Urbig. Still, Harry Kane remains a standout captaincy option.

Wednesday, October 1

Union SG vs Newcastle

Union SG miss Florucz through suspension. Newcastle, meanwhile, are without Livramento, Ramsey, and Wissa. Lewis Hall and Fabian Schär are fitness doubts — worth monitoring for defensive picks.

Qarabağ vs Copenhagen

Qarabağ lose Janković to a quadriceps injury, while Copenhagen have a long list of absentees: Mattsson, Achouri, Cornelius, and Moalem are all sidelined.

Arsenal vs Olympiacos

Arsenal are without Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz, while Piero Hincapié is a doubt. Olympiacos will be missing Roman Yaremchuk but otherwise arrive in good shape.

Leverkusen vs PSV

Leverkusen are missing striker Patrik Schick, with Andrich and Tella both doubts. For PSV, Van Bommel, Boadu, and Sildillia are unavailable, while Ricardo Pepi is a doubt.

Villarreal vs Juventus

Villarreal’s list includes Kambwala, Juan Foyth, and Pau Navarro. Key attackers Ayoze Pérez and Gerard Moreno are doubts. Juventus are missing Fabio Miretti, with Bremer and Khéphren Thuram carrying knocks.

Napoli vs Sporting CP

Napoli are without Giovanni Di Lorenzo (suspension) and Buongiorno, while both Spinazzola and Olivera are fitness concerns. Sporting miss Daniel Bragança and Nuno Santos but otherwise travel with a strong squad.

Monaco vs Manchester City

Monaco are heavily hit — Camara, Bamba, Hrádecký, Golovin, and Pogba are all ruled out. City are also missing a few names, including Ait-Nouri and Marmoush. Rayan Cherki is a doubt with a thigh issue.

Dortmund vs Athletic Club

Dortmund are without Anselmino, Emre Can, Duranville, and young striker Campbell. Athletic lose Mikel Vesga, while Nico Williams is a doubt — a key watch for fantasy managers given his attacking potential.

Barcelona vs Paris

Barcelona have a long absentee list, including Gavi, Raphinha, and Marc-André ter Stegen. Alejandro Balde is a late doubt.

Paris are also dealing with issues: Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos, and Doué are out, while Fabián Ruiz, João Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Vitinha are all doubts. This clash has the heaviest injury cloud of the week, making it a tough call for fantasy.
