Don Bosco Prep (N.J.) QB is the son of New York Giants general manager

When Don Bosco Prep (4-0) was delivering on their first victory over rival Bergen Catholic since 2022, quarterbacking the Ironmen was sophomore quarterback Carson Schoen, who has a close tie-in when it comes to a certain nearby NFL franchise.

Carson is the son of New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen, who has managed the NFL franchise since 2022. With his son fresh off of leading Don Bosco Prep to one of its biggest victories in recent memory, the older Schoen has acknowledged his son is putting in the work to being the best version of himself.

“He’s working his tail off,” the elder Schoen said of his son via a NJ.com report.

The younger Schoen has taken the reigns of New Jersey’s top high school football team’s offense and has had himself a nice 2025 campaign so far. Schoen has completed 19 passes for 304 yards and five touchdowns and is now just in search of that first offer from a Power 4 school.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound signal caller is up against many of the best high school football teams out of the Garden State, with hopes of leading the Ironmen to the Non-Public A state championship in late November.

Next time Schoen and Don Bosco Prep take the field is Friday night on the road against DePaul Catholic. Schoen will get to go head-to-head against Washington four-star quarterback commit Derek Zammit.
