Fennville soccer makes it four in a row with another SAC Lakeshore Division title

Another year, another conference championship for the Fennville Blackhawks.

Make it four in a row for the Blackhawks.

The Fennville boys soccer team defeated Watervliet 6-0 on Monday, Sept. 29, to clinch the program's fourth consecutive SAC Lakeshore Division title.

The Blackhawks, coming off of their first ever district title last year, have kept the momentum going into this season.

With the win, they improved to 10-2-3 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play.

Angel Villalobos led Fennville with three goals and an assist. Josue Bahena scored twice, and Chava Carranza also added a goal and an assist.

Jared Delgado, Oswaldo Lopez and Ethan Coffindaffer were each credited with an assist.

Dereck Arredondo had two saves in goal for the shutout.

"To win four in a row is special," Fennville coach Kyle Nevenzel said. "It's a testament to the hard work these boys put in on a consistent basis. It's a privilege to get to coach such a wonderful group of young men."
