Keep your fingers crossed
Barcelona have been offered hope that they could be able to play their La Liga clash with Girona on October 18th at Camp Nou.
The team’s return to their renovated stadium has been delayed, but the latest update suggests it may not be too far off after all.
Albert Batlle, Barcelona City Council’s Deputy Mayor for Security, has been quizzed on the situation and offered an optimistic update.
“For October 18? We’re hopeful that the necessary adjustments will be made and, from a security perspective, the go-ahead can be given to partially reopen the Camp Nou . I think the minor issues that existed can be resolved,” he told RAC1.
Barcelona’s next home match is against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and will be played at Montjuic.
The Catalans then head to Sevilla in La Liga before domestic competition pauses for an international break. Barcelona then return to action against Girona, hopefully at Camp Nou.
