Chelsea Transfer News: Fernandez responds to interest coming in for him

Some Chelsea transfer news to report on this Tuesday lunchtime as the team get ready to play Benfica tonight.

It’s the return of The Special One as Jose Mourinho comes back home but this time, as the manager of the opposing side.

EXCLUSIVE! Inside Chelsea: What is happening behind the scenes? Is Maresca truly safe? What relationships are not as good as they seem? All that and more!

Mourinho has been full of praise for Chelsea’s recruitment policy and how they have been operating in his words last night during the pre-match press conference for the game tonight.

Not everyone is a fan of how Chelsea operate though and I’d say that there is more criticism for it that praise, much more. Former Blues midfielder John Obi Mikel has been at it again this week with the criticism and does not understand why they didn’t sign better in the summer. He raises some great points.

Whilst the talk and chatter continues overall and for the bit game tonight, there are various transfer rumours doing the rounds today as well.

Chelsea in for another Fernandez?

As well as Enzo Fernandez, could Chelsea be about to try and sign another Fernandez as well?

Dro Fernandez of Barcelona has apparently responded to interest from Premier League heavyweights, one of which is Chelsea.

Manchester City join Chelsea in their interest and are reportedly preparing an offensive as early as the next winter transfer window. However, the Spanish side do not intend to let this happen. According to TBR Football, Barcelona have already advanced in discussions to extend his contract when he turns 18.

Fernandez “has no intention of listening to potential interest emerging from the Premier League and beyond,” writes the British media.
