The Washington Commanders are reportedly signing a wide receiver to add some depth with Terry McLaurin dealing with an injury.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Commanders are signing the wide receiver formerly known as Robby Anderson, Robbie Chosen, to the practice squad.

Chosen hasn't appeared in a game this season and appeared in two contests with the Miami Dolphins in 2024, reeling in one catch for five yards.

He was last with the San Francisco 49ers but was cut loose in early September.

A former 1,000-yard wide receiver in 2020 with the Carolina Panthers, Chosen has seen a steep decline that started in 2021, when he posted 519 yards.

Chosen tallied 282 yards in 2022 and then 126 yards in 2023.

Of course, Chosen is just a body at this point, but the Commanders need one given the uncertainty surrounding both McLaurin and fellow veteran wideout Noah Brown, both of whom are dealing with injuries.

After both sat out last week, their respective statuses remain up in the air for Week 5. Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane saw increased work in their absences but combined for just four catches for 39 yards.
