Croatia Midfielder Pleased With Early Life At Inter Milan: “Happy With My Performances

Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic brims with confidence following an impressive start to life at Stadio San Siro.

Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the 21-year-old also outlined Inter’s huge ambitions this season.

Petar Sucic joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer for a reported fee of €15 million.

Despite his youth and a relative lack of experience in top-tier football, Sucic has already established himself as a starter.

Indeed, the Croatian star has made three starts in the opening five Serie A rounds, picking up two assists.

Furthermore, manager Cristian Chivu handed him his Champions League debut against Ajax.

Though he came on as a late substitute in Amsterdam, Sucic will start against Slavia Prague tonight.

He will take Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s place in the starting line-up.

Meanwhile, Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolo Barella will complete the midfield trio.

After a 2-0 win at Ajax, Inter will be out to maintain their 100% record at Europe’s top table this season.

“It’s a Champions League game, everyone wants to play,” Sucic said. “For us, it’s important because we’re just starting out.

“We’re playing at home, and we want to win.”

When asked if he enjoys his early life at Inter, Sucic replied: “If I look at them overall, I’m happy. I think I’ve played well and I’m satisfied.”

Furthermore, he admits Inter are always looking to win every match.

“To win every game,” Sucic confirmed. “I know it’s not possible, but we have to try, and we must have the desire and hunger to win.

“Then we’ll see what we can achieve.”

Meanwhile, during an interview with Inter TV via FCInterNews, he admitted he doesn’t care about scoring goals.

“I’m very happy when I score, but I think the most important thing is winning,” Sucic added. “We all want the three points.

“Scoring is not my first thought. It’s only the start of the season, I’ve only been here a short time.

“I’m adapting well, and I think I’m doing a good job.”

Finally, he revealed several areas of his game where he can still improve.

“I believe that since I’m young, I can improve in many areas.

“I’m continuing to work hard to grow, I can improve in everything like every player.
