Inter Milan star forward Marcus Thuram warned his teammates against complacency after last night’s win against Slavia Prague.
Speaking to Sport.tv via FCInterNews, Ticus admitted it’s still too early to talk about Inter’s chances of reaching another the Champions League final.
The San Siro giants are still waiting for their first title in Europe’s most prestigious club competition since 2010.
Despite reaching two title-deciding fixtures in the last three years, the Nerazzurri fell short at the final hurdle.
Indeed, Paris Saint-Germain put them to the sword in last season’s final. Meanwhile, Manchester City beat them in the 2023 showpiece.
However, led by new manager Cristian Chivu, Inter have got the 2025/26 European campaign off to a dream start.
After beating Ajax 2-0 on matchday one, they demolished Slavia 3-0 at San Siro, maintaining a perfect record.
Meanwhile, Marcus Thuram, who netted a game-winning brace in Amsterdam, has urged his teammates to keep their feet on the ground.

“How far can this Inter go? I don’t know, we just need to stay focused, game by game,” Thuram said.
“It’s only the start of the season, there’s still a lot to do. But we’re in a good moment, we need to keep working.”
Meanwhile, the Frenchman hailed his rapport with Chivu.
“Very well,” Thuram admitted. “What did he ask of me? To be myself, as I always have, and to help the team.”
Despite failing to score last night, Thuram was brilliant.
Indeed, he set up Denzel Dumfries on a silver platter for Inter’s second of the game.
However, he has yet to speak with Chivu about his showing.
“No, we haven’t spoken yet. I came straight from the pitch,” Thuram replied when asked whether they had discussed his performance in the match.
Thuram left the pitch in pain. Yet, he will likely be part of the matchday squad this weekend as Inter face Cremonese at home.
