Gravel Pit Academy and Spartan Kids Foundation launch a program to fund youth training through Fenway race sponsorships.
Gravel Pit Academy today announced a partnership with the Spartan Kids Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of wellness brand Spartan, to launch a new initiative that will open doors for underserved kids to participate in athletic training.
Through this partnership, companies can sponsor a team to enter the Spartan Race at Fenway Park, taking place Nov. 8–9, with 100% of the proceeds to provide scholarships for young athletes who would otherwise not be able to afford participation in the Gravel Pit Academy Programs, according to a community announcement.
Companies can sponsor a team to enter the event, with 100% of the proceeds going toward scholarships for young athletes who might not otherwise afford participation in Gravel Pit Academy programs. Any sponsorship amount will be matched in value with complementary tickets to the event.
Win-win opportunity
“This partnership creates a win-win opportunity: businesses and community members get to take part in one of the most iconic Spartan events in the country while helping us provide kids with access to high-level training and mentorship,” Michael Prouty, Co-Founder of Gravel Pit Academy, said in the announcement.
The program combines Spartan’s proven ability to inspire teamwork, grit and resilience with Gravel Pit Academy’s mission to foster athletic development and personal growth in kids, according to the announcement.
“Spartan is proud to join forces with Gravel Pit Academy to expand access for young athletes,” said Al Schreiber, co-founder and co-director of the Spartan Kids Foundation. “This collaboration not only brings people together for an unforgettable race at Fenway Park but also helps strengthen communities by investing in kids who need it most.”
