Lawrence will not be put on injured reserve with thigh injury.
After a “mini-bye week” the Seattle Seahawks were able to get some much-needed rest.
There were two injured players who were inactive against the Arizona Cardinals last Thursday, safety, Nick Emmanwori and offensive tackle, Josh Jones. Emmanwori looks to be in line to return this upcoming Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after participating in a “light bonus Monday practice.” Jones on the other hand may need some more time, as the recent signing of offensive tackle, Logan Brown may indicate.
On Wednesday, head coach Mike Macdonald gave some additional insight on three more players potentially returning from injury. First, Demarcus Lawrence, who left the Cardinals game early due to a thigh injury, is “day to day” and injured reserve “is not in play” according to Macdonald. This is good news for the veteran defensive lineman, as this week four thigh injury eerily mirrored the week four foot injury that cost Lawrence the rest of his 2024 season with the Dallas Cowboys.
The other two players with an injury update were defensive tackle, Johnathan Hankins (who is on the non-football-injury list) and offensive lineman, Christian Haynes (who is on injured reserve). Macdonald indicated on Wednesday that neither player is coming back from injured reserve this week despite being eligible to return this to the active roster for week five.
