Who will be this week's ModForce Home Solutions Football Player of the Week for Lenawee County?

LENAWEE COUNTY – This week’s ModForce Home Solutions Football Player of the Week poll is a day late as the dreaded “yuckies” has worked its way into sports editor Troy Tennyson’s home.

But that doesn't mean football teams from across Lenawee County, who just passed the midway point of the 2025 season, do not deserve to be honored for their weekly contributions on the gridiron.

So here we are as we kick off an abbreviated version of the ModForce Home Solutions Football Player of the Week poll. Voting begins right away and will run through Friday at 3 p.m. Vote as often as you'd like as many times as you want – just hit refresh and cast another vote for your favorite Lenawee County football player.

So, who will it be folks? Who is this week’s ModForce Home Solutions Football Player of the Week?

Nominees (in alphabetical order by first name)

Cam Barber, RB/DB, Madison – Barber finished the day with the only Madison touchdown, scoring on a 35-yard pass play. Barber also led the Trojan defense in tackles in the tough loss and has excelled at the holder of the field goal/extra point team and the punt returner.

Cayden Allshouse, Ath., Britton Deerfield – Allshouse was an all-around contributor in Friday’s win over Lenawee Christian, running the ball 12 times for 176 yards and one touchdown. Allshouse also added one pass completion for eight years and one pass catch for 26 yards.

Chance Gormley, QB/RB, Tecumseh – Gormley had one of the most explosive games of the season for his Tecumseh team in their win over Jackson, leading the team in rushing with 24 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown while also adding 7 of 11 passing for 114 yards and two touchdown passes.

Clifford Jones, RB, Clinton – Jones finished the week with an impressive showing versus Onsted, rushing the ball 19 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns.

Dacari Alexander, WR, Clinton – Alexander led all Clinton receivers in their win over Onsted last Friday, pulling in six catches for 126 yards and one touchdown.

Devon Brigman, RB/DB, Hudson – Brigman helped the dominant Hudson rushing attack with nine carries for 87 yards and one touchdown. Brigman was also a dawg inside the 5-yard line, running in five two-point conversions.

Grayson Bills, RB/DB, Hudson – Bills showed off his electric athleticism early and often versus Madison on Friday, rushing the ball 14 times for 195 yards and a touchdown.

Liem Roe, Ath., Britton Deerfield – Roe came up huge in the Patriots' win over Lenawee Christian on Friday, rushing the ball 21 times for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Roe also completed one pass for 26 yards and pulled in one pass for eight yards.

Logan Jewell and Michael Beard, RB, Addison – While the scoring plays from Addison’s loss to Columbia Central were not reported, it was reported that the duo of Beard and Jewell rushed for a combined 254 yards between the two. Beard finished with 25 carries for 138 yards, while Jewell added 25 carries for 126 yards.

Talan Kruse, Ath., Morenci – Kruse led the Bulldogs in a tough loss to Concord this past week, rushing the ball 27 times for 168 yards while completing one pass for 12 yards and a touchdown. Kruse also scored one touchdown rushing on the ground.

Zack Hassan, WR/CB/K, Adrian – Hassan came through in the most clutch of ways for his Adrian Maples team, driving home a 37-yard field goal with 1.9 seconds left on the clock to give the Maples the 3-0 upset win over state-ranked Lincoln in dramatic fashion.
