Flyers Cut Emil Andrae In Favor Of Ex-Canuck

Recently appointed head coach Rick Tocchet is all too familiar with Noah Juulsen's game. He signed with the Flyers as a free agent after spending four seasons under Tocchet with the Vancouver Canucks. During the 2024-25 season, Juulsen dealt with injury, healthy scratches and flopping back and forth between the Abbotsford Canucks and Vancouver. While he was playing, he tallied zero points over 35 games.

Juulsen was left on the roster while defenseman Emil Andrae was sent back to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Andrae got about half of the 2024-25 season in the show where he finished the year with one goal and six assists.

While they played a similar amount of games, Andrae has historically been a more sound defensman in comparison.

Do you think that the Flyers made the right decision, or should Juulsen have been sent down in favor of Andrae?
