Report: No fee for Bayern Munich to get VfB Stuttgart’s Rouven Kasper

A new boss on the horizon…

According to a report from Kicker (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich will not pay a fee for VfB Stuttgart executive Rouven Kasper, but the teams will play a friendly instead. No formal date for his move has been determined just yet, though some reports point to January for Kasper to join Bayern Munich:

Bayern will not pay Stuttgart a compensation fee for the release of marketing director Rouven Kasper. Instead, there will be a friendly match between the two teams, with the proceeds going to VfB. A specific date has not been discussed yet; but there’s a “gentlemen’s agreement” between the two club presidents that it will be implemented at some point.

Kasper will join Bayern Munich executive board, which will look like this in January (per @iMiaSanMia):

Bayern’s new executive board from January 2026:

-Jan-Christian Dreesen: CEO and Board member for Finance

-Max Eberl: Board member for Sport

-Rouven Kasper: Board member for Marketing and Sales

Bayern Munich is cruising and heading into another Champions League, so let’s take a look at the factors that have powered the team so far.

Harry Kane has been a beast, the squad is driven, and — by and large — personnel decisions have worked out well. Let’s get into all of that and more on this edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show. This is what we have on tap:

  • Why has Harry Kane been better than ever? (Less need for him to work in build-up, better complimentary players around him — losing Sane and Coman was massive, more aggressive attacking game plan and sometime more direct, truly the focal point
  • Is it possible that Harry Kane will stay at Bayern Munich? He is not dismissing the possibility.
  • Yes! We avoided a #BayernKaren situation. We are rejoicing this in Philadelphia.
  • Tying up some loose ends — let’s check in on Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, João Palhinha, Paul Wanner, Mathys Tel, and Adam Aznou.
