Crystal Palace are preparing for the likely departure of Marc Guehi whose contract is entering its final year and according to SunSport the England international defender has made it clear he will not sign an extension at Selhurst Park.
If Palace fail to secure a January transfer fee they risk losing their captain on a free next summer and moreover they must act swiftly to identify a replacement for one of their most influential players.
Liverpool remain Guehi’s preferred destination and according to some sources, Real Madrid have also made inquiries since the window shut although no official offer has yet been placed.
If Palace choose to sell in January they would at least ensure significant value for a player who has made 165 appearances and scored nine goals since joining from Chelsea.
Palace meanwhile have placed Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande on their radar and are also tracking Chelsea prospect Josh Acheampong as potential replacements.
The Eagles have already sold Eberechi Eze to Arsenal yet they remain third in the Premier League table [As of October 2]

His combination of defensive solidity and attacking threat has made him attractive to clubs in both England and Europe and Palace know replacing such an influence will not be simple.
