Here is what to know about Jackson's injury and whether it will cause him to miss any time outside of the reps he missed in Sunday's game.
How long is Lamar Jackson out? Hamstring injury timeline, return date, latest updates on Ravens QB originally appeared on The Sporting News
Very few things have gone right for the Baltimore Ravens to begin the 2025 NFL season.
With injuries already piling up on Baltimore's defense, star quarterback Lamar Jackson exited a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with an apparent hamstring injury. Not only did Baltimore lose the game to fall to 1-3, but it also lost its franchise QB in the process.
Jackson remained on the sidelines after he was taken out, but there is an understandable level of concern around the team as it faces an uphill battle with a hobbled QB.

Here is what to know about Jackson's injury and whether it will cause him to miss any time outside of the reps he missed in Sunday's game.
What is Lamar Jackson's injury?
Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of Baltimore's game against Kansas City. The designation and severity of the injury have not yet been determined.
Jackson's injury came on the final play of the Ravens' offensive drive, but he was not on the field when the offense took back over. The team listed him as questionable to return, but Jackson did not go back in.

How long is Lamar Jackson out?
Jackson could miss 2-3 weeks with the hamstring injury, per a report from the Baltimore Sun on Tuesday, Sept. 30, though a Oct. 1 report from Ian Rapoport called the injury more "week to week." The Baltimore Sun report added that Jackson is "likely" to miss Week 5 against the Texans, and it places his availability for Week 6 against the Rams in doubt.
Jackson did not participate in practice Wednesday, further clouding doubt around his availability for Week 5. On Thursday in Week 5, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said that the Baltimore QB is "doubtful" to play against Houston. He did not practice on Thursday, for the second straight day in Week 5.

Fortunately for Jackson and the Ravens, their bye week comes in Week 7.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh initially declined to comment on whether Jackson would have stayed in had the game been closer, but he said Monday that "there was no way [Jackson] could have gone back in the game.Â
Harbaugh's comments indicate the injury might be more than just a minor bump in the road.Â
