Roony Bardghji was one of the three signings that FC Barcelona made during the summer transfer window of 2025.

The 19-year-old winger arrived from FC Copenhagen in Denmark for a nominal fee of €2.5 million, with the initial plan being for him to alternate between the first team and the reserves.

However, after eye-catching displays during pre-season, the Swedish attacker convinced Hansi Flick to retain him in the first-team dynamics full-time.

Bardghji had to wait for his official debut until September due to registration issues, but finally made his maiden appearance against Valencia, featuring as a starter.

Since then, he has played in three matches for the Blaugrana, and in a recent interview with Achraf Ben Ayad of Mundo Deportivo, the teenager opened up on how he is living the dream.

“Playing for Barça has been a dream of mine since I was little. When I was little, I used to watch Barça games with my father. We were always fans of the team. I’m very proud to be here,” admitted Bardghji.

Outlining his ambitions with the Catalan giants, he added: “I worked hard to get here and I’ve achieved it, but this is just the beginning. My dream is to win all the trophies with Barça: Champions League, La Liga….”

The 19-year-old further stated that he believed the current team, under Flick, has what it takes to win all possible trophies.

“We have a very good team and a great coach, and I expect a great season,” Bardghji noted.

Asked about his origins, the Barcelona attacker spoke about his personal journey and showed gratitude for the support he has received from fans in Arab countries, saying:

“I’m from Syria, my family is from Syria. I was born in Kuwait. When I was five, we moved to Sweden and lived there. I want to thank the support I receive from Arab countries.

“I receive many messages of support from Syria on social media, and that makes me very happy.”
