Manchester United has no plans to sack Amorim
Despite Manchester United’s poor start to the season, Rúben Amorim will not be dismissed. The club wants to give him time to steady the ship.
According to The Athletic, co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants the Portuguese manager to stay until the end of the season. Amorim, 40, took charge last November. Since then, results have been disappointing. The club has collected only seven points from six matches and sits in 14th place. The defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final cost Manchester United a place in European competition this season.

“From speaking to people, even if Manchester United lost to Sunderland, I don’t think that would be the end for Ruben Amorim. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is the ultimate decision-maker on this… and he, I’m told, wants to actually give Amorim the full season.” pic.twitter.com/xLESlPIC0o
Last summer, the club made major investments. Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko joined the squad. However, the new signings have struggled to make an impact. Still, the management continues to back Amorim. Should it become necessary, Oliver Glasner and Andoni Iraola are being monitored as potential replacements.
