Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner heaped praise on summer signing Yeremy Pino after playing a starring role in his side’s Conference League win over Dynamo Kyiv.

Pino set up both goals in the 2-0 win, first crossing for Daniel Munoz to head in before picking out Eddie Nketiah for the second.

“He was very good,” Glasner said on Pino, who joined from Villarreal in August. “He worked so hard. In the last games, he didn’t get the reward, but he’s such a great guy, he always keeps going and he gets more and more used to the way we are playing.

“The second assist was too quick for my eyes. I’m already an old guy, too far away, it was too quick, so I’ll have to look it back on TV. But it was a fantastic assist, and a very good performance.”

Midfielder Will Hughes was forced off in the second half of the game with a knock. but Glasner is hoping it will not be too serious.

“He got a knock on his thigh, on his quad, a dead leg, and he was limping,” he said.

“We have a great medical department, so I hope that he will be available for Everton.”
