Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze has hinted that off-season signings might debut for the club this coming weekend.
The Soweto giants are set to lock horns with Stellenbosch FC in a Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 clash at DHL Stadium on Sunday.
While several new signings have already donned the black and gold shirt, players like Ethan Chislett and Nkanyiso Shinga among others, are yet to make their Chiefs debut.
Now, the Burundian tactician has suggested some new acquisitions could feature for the first time against Stellies, with games coming thick and fast.
“For every team that is going to be in the tournament, it’s a fresh start. It’s a different tournament; everyone is looking forward to it. As Kaizer Chiefs we are looking forward to it as well and we are happy to be in the tournament. We are willing to do everything we can to go all out,” said Kaze.
‘About players, probably we will see some players yes, because in the last 18 days we played six games which means we have been playing every three days for the past three weeks and it starts to be heavy on the players
He concluded: “We need fresh legs and fresh minds to make it out for the game.
Interestingly, Chiefs have beaten the Cape Winelands outfit four times in a row in as many previous meetings between the two clubs
