Browns have a few concerns, Vikings have a lot of players already ruled out
The matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings is one that is highlighted by the switch to QB Dillon Gabrieland injuries for Minnesota. Both teams finished their final preparations with Friday’s practices with HC Kevin Stefanski, and every player, speaking confidently about the new rookie quarterback.
Weather played a role in practices on Friday, but is expected to clear off for Sunday’s game (and potentially time for players to explore London Friday afternoon and Saturday).
On Thursday, Cleveland ruled out DT Mike Hall Jr., making it the fifth straight week he’s been unable to play, recovering from a knee injury last season. Friday, Minnesota ruled six players out, including four on their offensive line:
- QB JJ McCarthy
- OL Donovan Jackson
- OL Ryan Kelly
- OL Brian O’Neill
- OL Michael Jurgens
- OLB Andrew Van Ginkel
For those keeping track at home, that is the Vikings starting right tackle, left guard and center, along with their backup center.
For the Browns, OT Jack Conklin and CB Greg Newsome II are questionable for the game on Sunday with Hall ruled out.
We will have the official injury report later this afternoon as required by the NFL>
