Florida State of Recruiting: Visitors to know ahead of FSU-Miami

A ton of talent on hand in Tallahassee.

Rivalry games mean so many things to so many people. Fans obsess over them. Coaches prepare a little harder for them. Emotions from players are stronger. Even in an era of recruiting that is largely driven by money, recruits still pay attention to in-state clashes between traditional powers, and the visitor list for Saturday night in Doak reflects as much.

Mike Norvell and his staff strategically avoided hosting any official visitors for the game, opting to free up more time for an all hands on deck approach to a very deep unofficial visitor list. Official visits are extremely time-consuming for coaches and staffers, and with the Seminoles focusing on numerous flip targets who have already taken official visits over the summer, it just didn’t make sense to wrap up so much time into what would be a handful of non-blue chip prospects taking OVs. Instead, the coaches and staff will make rounds through a ton of talented unofficial visitors that stretch through the class of 2029.

Here are some of the names you should know among 2026 prospects expected to be at the game. As always with unofficial visits, many prospects depend on rides and therefore may not make it in, while others may show up without much warning. These are the guys we’ve been able to confirm- we haven’t heard back from everyone yet, so this list is likely not exhaustive. It also doesn’t include a myriad of lower/unranked prospects or guys that ultimately aren’t going to be pursued by FSU.
