What happened on WWE NXT this week?
This week’s show kicked off with a promo from newly crowned NXT Champion, Ricky Saints. He’s interrupted by NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, who begins to hype up next week’s event against TNA. Ava, Santino Marella, Mike Santana, and Kelani Jordan also join the discussion to set up a summit for later in the evening.
Lola Vice and Myles Borne won their respective matches to earn the right to join their respective teams for next week’s Showdown event.
Elsewhere on the show, NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater defeated The Culling in tag team action. The two will face each other later this month at Bound for Glory for the X-Division Championship.
In the closing segment of the evening, the men’s and women’s team captains for NXT and TNA announced their Survivor Series teams for next week’s event. The show ended in a gigantic brawl between the two rosters, with Shawn Michaels watching from the aisleway, smiling.

WWE NXT Review:
Tonight’s show was busy to say the least. Solid matches overall, and a good amount of time and effort was poured into building to the TNA/NXT brawl to close the show. The TNA women’s team is a perplexing yet solid group. TNA hasn’t gotten much over on NXT to this point. They need to achieve almost a clean sweep next week to balance out everything that has happened over the past few months. The match of the night was the main event tag match featuring a showcase for Evans and Slater against the Culling. How would you book NXT Showdown? Let us know in the comments!
