The Miz turns on Carmelo Hayes after he’s dumped

Melo Don’t Miz officially breaks up, and it wasn’t an amicable split.

Melo Don’t Miz officially broke up during tonight’s (Oct. 3) episode of SmackDown.

It started when The Miz confronted Carmelo Hayes backstage and asked why he stood there and did nothing last week when Miz was pinned in a number one contender’s loss against the Street Profits. Hayes coldly said the A-Lister should have kicked out.

The Miz reminded his partner that he took three finishing moves. Melo didn’t care. He said Miz always gets in the way, and their team is done. Melo added that normally he takes the first shot, but he was actually being cool by just telling The Miz what’s up. Miz silently fumed after being dumped by Carmelo.

Moments later, Hayes made his entrance with a mic in hand to accept Sami Zayn’s open challenge for the United States championship. Hayes said Sami would see the best version of HIM now that nobody was holding him back.

That’s when The Miz came from behind to take the first shot and lay out Melo with the Skull Crushing Finale.
